Pirelli's fantastic 205/70R15 tyres in the Cinturato CN12 design are perfectly suited to classic sports cars. They are an excellent alternative to 185 R15 radial tyres or crossply 640 - 15 and 670 - 15 Tyres tyres. For late 1960s and early 1970s sports cars like the Jensen Interceptor that they were original equipment on.
The tyre size ER/70R15 is the same size as 205/70R15. When Jaguar first developed the XJ range of luxury cars, they were fitted with an ER/70 VR 15 Dunlop SP Sport Aquajet. However, Jaguar soon chased the dream of improving these cars, so, working with jaguar, Pirelli developed the PIRELLI P5 and fitted their Luxury cars Jaguar XJ6 and Jaguar XJS with the 205/70 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P5 which is still the best tyre for these cars, as the 215/70 WR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P5 is for the V12 Jaguars of this period. However, on the earlier sports cars, this 205/70R15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN12 is perfect.
