Pilote is the French word meaning driver, sometimes used by Michelin in the names of their tires. However just to keep us guessing they have chosen to use the word Pilot in their bench mark tire the Michelin Pilote Sport.

Pilot Sport Tires

Michelins Pilot Sport is a top quality high speed rated asymmetric tire, featuring its signature sharp V shaped directional tread pattern that allows the tires to be pushed to the absolute limit of aquaplaning in the most extreme conditions. The Michelin Collection range only has 2 sizes of tire in the Pilot Sport tread pattern 225/50ZR16 and 255/50ZR16. The 255/50ZR16 Pilot Sport is a tire with a very low demand fitting a few years of Aston Martin Vantage and for a few years only the rear of a Ferrari TestaRossa and the 288 GTO.
